Victoria police are appealing for witnesses or victims whose cars may have been damaged after a motorist was seen driving erratically on Dallas Road in the early hours of Sunday.

Shortly after 3 a.m., officers received a report of an impaired driver in a black car at the intersection of Dallas Road and Wellington Boulevard. Police said the driver hit multiple vehicles and a street sign and crossed the road.

Officers located a suspect near Dallas Road and Douglas Street. Police said the suspect initially ignored officers and resisted arrest before being taken into custody and transferred to cells.

VicPD said the suspect was released with a warning and condition to attend a future court date.
