Port Coquitlam police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspicious vehicle in a boat theft investigation.

Coquitlam RCMP said in a press release on Wednesday that the vehicle in question was a four-door pickup truck with ‘apparent’ flames on the driver’s side, and shared a compelling black-and-white security photo of the vehicle.

Police said the truck was seen towing a parked boat and trailer near Broadway Avenue and Langan Boulevard around 11 p.m. on Oct. 29.

Mounties also included a photo of the stolen boat, which they described as a blue boat with a gray top and an outboard motor resting on a white boat trailer.

Police say anyone with information or dashcam video about the stolen boat or truck should call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote case number 2024-28776.
