Minnesota Frost adds Olympic gold medalists to coaching and support staff, among others

The reigning Walter Cup champions have strengthened their squad with new additions for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

The final additions to the Minnesota Frost’s coaching and support staff that will fill key positions in the organization were announced Wednesday.

Key positions filled Wednesday include assistant coach Chris “Critter” Johnson, goalie coach Pete Samargia, strength and conditioning coach Shannon MacAulay and skills coaches Andy Ness and John Schiavo.

In addition to those hired as coaches, former Minnesota Gopher Olympic gold medalist Dani (Cameranesi) Brodzinski and Haley Skarupa also joined Frost as scouts.

“I am excited to announce these additions to Frost’s Hockey Operations Department,” said Frost General Manager Melissa Caruso. “This group brings a wide variety of experiences and perspectives to the team and, along with our current roster, will provide an environment that will enable Frost to achieve excellence both on and off the ice. Training camp opens this week and our group will welcome our athletes to St. Paul as we begin our defense of the Walter Cup.” Ready to welcome you in!”
