MISSOULA, Mont. – Have you seen?

Many people in western Montana saw a bright light streak across the sky Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service office in Missoula reported that a sensor detected what appeared to be a meteor around 6:30 a.m.

The meteor was first spotted in southwestern Alberta.

American Meteor Society It shows reports coming from Montana, Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Nevada, North Dakota, Saskatchewan, Utah and Wyoming.

“But the vast majority of them occur in oceans and remote areas, and many are masked by daylight. Those that occur at night have little chance of being detected because there are relatively few people to notice them.”
