Bradenton Police investigating double shooting after woman killed in crossfire

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – The Bradenton Police Department is investigating a double shooting that resulted in the death of a 43-year-old woman who was caught in the crossfire.

The first shooting occurred on Tuesday, November 12, in the 2400 block of 8th Avenue in Bradenton around 6 p.m.

Detectives said the suspects fired at least ten shots, damaging homes and vehicles.

The next shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue E. At that time, more than thirty shots were fired.

The victim had just returned from grocery shopping and was shot while sitting in her car.

Detectives say he was not the intended victim.

Responding officers provided emergency assistance until EMS arrived. He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries overnight. I
