COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police has arrested three suspects in the April 4 shooting death of 13-year-old Angel Diaz, who was killed on the city’s northeast side. Diaz was found with a gunshot wound in the 1300 block of E. Hudson Street and was pronounced dead by emergency responders shortly after 10:24 p.m.

Three people have been charged with murder in Diaz’s death, according to police. The first arrest occurred on June 27, when 30-year-old Jaivon Jones was taken into custody. A few months later, on October 24, police arrested 21-year-old Dock Parker. Most recently, on November 4, 22-year-old Mekhi Webster was also charged with murder.

Authorities have not released further details about the motive behind the shooting or the connection, if any, between the suspects and the teenage victim.
