BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Birmingham police are investigating a double homicide after two men were found in a vehicle Tuesday night.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Western Precinct Officers with the Birmingham Police Department were alerted to a car with bullet holes sitting on the sidewalk in front of an abandoned house in the 1300 block of Princeton Avenue Southwest.

The caller reported that he noticed the car backing up until it stopped on the curb.

When police teams arrived at the scene, they found that two people in the vehicle, a man and a woman, had gunshot wounds.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.

Police said details were limited and no one was in custody.
