Fox News homeowner Pete Hegsethwho Donald Trump‘s election for defense ministerhe once hit a man with an ax during a live TV show that went badly wrong.

In a 2015 episode of “Fox & Friends,” Hegseth threw an ax at a target while members of the West Point Hellcats marching band performed behind the target.

He missed the target completely and hit drummer Jeff Prosperie in an accident. it went viral at the timebut it is gaining new attention in light of Hegseth’s nomination as defense minister:

Prosperie said that the knife did not hit him at the time, but he had some cuts on his wrist.

“It could have been much worse or fatal,” he wrote on Facebook, saying it was the result of “blatant negligence.”

“Always know what is behind your target when shooting or throwing,” he wrote.

Welfare A lawsuit was later filed on the incident. It’s unclear whether the case has been solved.
