Trump’s pick of Lee Zeldin for EPA shows he’s serious about protecting the economy and the environment

This is what President-elect Donald Trump meant He promised to revive the economy by rolling back unnecessary regulations, and nothing proves this more than his former choice for Representative. Lee Zeldin will head the Environmental Protection Agency.

Zeldin — Who came close in 2022 Being governor of New York than any Republican in decades is perfect for the job.

He has long opposed crazy green rules that needlessly cost jobs.

But he also showed a deep interest in the environment.

This is the ideal balance. And he’s the third New Yorker counted Elise Stefanik as UN ambassador and Tom Homan to head ICE to join Trump’s team.

“We will restore U.S. energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring back American jobs, and make the United States the global leader in artificial intelligence,” the Long Island native vows.

But “we will do this by preserving access to clean air and water.”

Trump echoed this, promising that Zeldin would “make fair and rapid deregulation decisions” and “set new standards in environmental review” to enable “healthy and well-structured” growth.

This is music to people’s ears.

America needs To eliminate the terrible rules and mandates imposed while the Biden-Harris team pandered to far-left recruits.

For example, Zeldin and Trump aim for reversal drive to force drivers to give up gas-powered cars 50 percent electric vehicle sales target By 2030.

As former Interior Secretary David Bernhardt warned during the campaign, America is headed for an energy capacity “shortfall” of at least 30% by 2032 due to “growing demand and coal retirement.”

Zeldin will be part of Trump force adoption manufacturing plants, pipelines, gas and oil drilling, new nuclear energy technology and other energy infrastructure — increasing energy supply, lowering costs and helping businesses.

The new EPA boss will also need to sort through mountains of other mindless, job-killing agency rules.

Bet he’ll make it: In the 2022 governor’s race, Zeldin vows to repeal New York’s idiotic fracking banDenying the tremendous benefits the Empire State provides residents to Pennsylvanians right next door.

And he rightly called out some of the state’s crazy climate goals.

But he’s all for sane green goals: For example, he’s proud to have funded projects to protect Long Island Sound.

And his role in the House of Representatives’ Bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus is a testament to his desire to strike the appropriate balance between business and the environment.

Bottom line: With Zeldin at the EPA, Americans can finally look forward to a sane regulatory regime that protects both the economy and the economy. And environment.
