FORECAST: Seasonally wet

CLEVELAND – There’s tons of sun today… and we need it. We started out cold, with temperatures dropping to almost 30 degrees for most of Northeast Ohio. Brr…

But that sun… helps the temperature recover quickly. We’re near 50 degrees at noon with highs in the mid 50s this afternoon. Enjoy the sun while it lasts because clouds thicken and rain returns during the night. We were absolutely drenched Thursday morning with constant and at times heavy rain. Plan for lower visibility, slower traffic due to pooling and aquaplaning on roads, and slower speed rates in general. This means getting out the door early to avoid rushing in the rain.

It will slowly dry out Thursday afternoon and temperatures will slowly approach 50 degrees by sunset. We’ll be back in the 50s over the next few days, including the weekend!

DAILY FORECAST:

Wednesday: The bright recovery has returned to near the norm. | High: 56°

Thursday: Widespread, continuous, heavy rain in the morning. | High: 49°

Friday: It is drying out with limited lake effect rainfall. | High: 54°

Saturday: Mostly sunny and seasonal. | High: 53°

Sunday: More clouds. | High: 56°
