A lorry overturned on the A12, blocking a junction and blocking the road to northbound traffic.

Essex Police said they were at the scene of the crash at Boreham junction in Chelmsford just after 6am.

They said they expected the intersection to remain inaccessible to northbound traffic throughout the morning traffic to allow rescue efforts.

The intersection is still accessible to southbound drivers.
