No injuries were reported in the fire northwest of Fort Collins

A wildfire broke out northwest of Fort Collins on Tuesday, sparking a brief fire. Mandatory evacuation orders for Larimer County residents I live near Ted’s.

The flames burned an estimated 15 to 30 acres and were brought under control in about 2 hours, the Poudre Fire Authority said in a post on X.

Fire burning nearby Ted’s Place gas station at Colorado 14 and US 287, prompting the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office to issue mandatory evacuation orders for people living in the area at North County Road 29C, but sheriff’s officials lifted those orders shortly before 3 p.m.

While no injuries or damage to the building were reported, the cause of the fire is being investigated.
