Evacuation orders lifted after wildfire in Larimer County

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – Beginning at 2:04 p.m. Tuesday, mandatory evacuations were implemented in Larimer County as responders battled the wildfire. These evacuation orders were lifted about an hour later.

Evacuations have been issued for residents in the area of ​​N County Road 29C. The sheriff’s office said the wildfire was burning in the area of ​​Teds Place, Highway 14 and Highway 287 in northwest Fort Collins.

At 2:25 p.m., Poudre Fire said the fire was under control and they were working to find hot spots and put them out.

“LCSO’s Emergency Services team is assisting PFA on this fire,” the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said.

Poudre Fire said the fire grew to approximately 5 acres. No injuries or structure damage were reported.

“Fire personnel are at the scene; Please do not call 911 to report smoke in this area,” the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said.
