Injury report for Detroit Pistons’ big man in Heat vs Matchup continues

*UPDATE: Jalen Duren has been upgraded to AVAILABLE for Tuesday’s game against the Miami Heat.

The team faced a thrilling loss against the Houston Rockets. Detroit Pistons They will finish their current home Tuesday night. They could continue to be without one of their key players as they prepare for the first NBA Cup game of the season.

Early in last week’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, Jalen Düren had to leave the game with an ankle injury. He was later diagnosed with a sprained ankle, forcing him to miss the last two matches.

Düren’s status, which will face Miami Heat on Tuesday, remains doubtful. As of now, there has been no clear update on when the Pistons center will return to the court. However, Düren was seen working with the coaches after Monday’s training.

Düren played in nine games this season before his injury against the Hornets. The third-year big man is averaging just under a double-double with 8.0 points and 9.7 rebounds.

With Düren still on the injury report, the Pistons could be very thin in the frontcourt. Although listed as probable, Isaiah Stewart is also on the list due to an ankle injury. Outside of those two, JB Bickerstaff’s option at center is Paul Reed. The former G-League forward has appeared in five games since arriving from the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 5.8 PPG and 2.0 RPG off the bench.

This is a matchup where the Pistons will need size as the Heat will run a lot of work through Bam Adebayo. With Jimmy Butler out, the All-Star big man is sure to see a greater workload against Detroit.

For those looking to watch this NBA Cup action, the announcement is scheduled for 7pm Eastern Time.
