EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Pickens County Coroner’s Office says one person is dead following a crash Tuesday morning.

According to the coroner, the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Calhoun Memorial Highway.

Authorities said the driver hit another vehicle in the opposite lane and died at the scene.

The victim was identified as 77-year-old Dennis Edway Gorecki.

Easley Police are investigating this crash.
