CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Cambria County police are providing a brief update on the homicide investigation of an Adams Township man whose body was found burned along a local roadway last week.

West Hills police confirmed evidence was found in the vehicle of 54-year-old Barry Senior Jr. and that the evidence was sent to a crime lab in Greensburg.

Investigators said authorities were first dispatched to a reported brush fire along Haws Pike early last Wednesday morning.

Authorities were contacted after it was discovered that the fire was actually Senior’s burned body, authorities said.

County coroner Jeff Lees has since ruled Senior’s death a homicide, saying the autopsy determined: He was stabbed and strangled before being set on fire.

West Hills Police Chief BJ Newman said authorities could not yet comment on what evidence was found.
