Oregon-set comedy ‘St. Denis Medical premieres tonight: What to know about the show

“St. Denis Medicine, new Comedy series that will premiere on Tuesday, November 12 The latest program to air on NBC to use the mockumentary format; The concept gained widespread popularity with the original British version of “The Office” and the later U.S. version, which ran for nine seasons and is still popular with Dunder Mifflin fans. Those who watch reruns on Peacock or Comedy Central.

The cast also includes Allison Tolman (“Fargo”) as Alex, a conscientious and overworked supervising nurse, and Wendi McLendon-Covey (“The Goldbergs”) as Joyce, the hospital’s chief executive who has big goals for the organization.

as McLendon-Covey (whose sister, Shelley McLendon, is a longtime prominent figure in the Portland theater scene) he told The Oregonian/Oregonlive. Joyce may have his weaknesses, but “He is so determined. He has no personal life. Years passed and it was as if he forgot to have a personal life.

“I know he’s weird,” McLendon-Covey said of her character. “He lacks interpersonal skills. But his intentions are good.”
