Rockland’s Primo restaurant will host 25th anniversary dinner with star chefs

Rockland’s famous Primo restaurant is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a “Diva Dinner” full of star chefs Saturday.

The dinner features a collaboration between Primo chef-owner Melissa Kelly and five of her longtime chef friends; these include Trade and Jody Adams of the Porto in Boston and the former Rialto in Cambridge; Kathleen Blake of The Rusty Spoon in Orlando, Florida; Ilma Lopez of Chaval and Ugly Duckling in Portland; and pastry chef Emily Luchetti, formerly of New York City’s The Silver Palate and San Francisco’s influential restaurant Stars.

Chef Larry Forgione, who mentored Kelly at An American Place in New York City, will also be present as a “divo”.

A special meet-and-greet will begin at 4:30 p.m., with cocktails, appetizers, and the opportunity to meet the guest chefs as they prepare a special plate for the five-course meal, each of which will begin at 6 p.m.

Dinner is $275 per person, meet and greet is $100.
