Murder charges in fatal drunk driving crash in Monroe County

TOMAH, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A murder charge has been filed for a fatal crash that killed one person in Monroe County on Thursday. Kristoffer Cattle, 39, of Tomah, is charged with 1st degree reckless homicide and DUI, among other charges.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were searching for cattle in Sparta after receiving calls about erratic driving. The cattle eventually crossed into oncoming traffic on County Highway A, striking another vehicle, killing the driver and injuring another. He will appear in court on December 16.
