Three people were hospitalized in the accident that occurred on the Menands Bridge in Troy.

The accident occurred around 18:00 on Monday evening.

Investigators said one person from each car was injured and they are expected to recover.

A driver was issued a ticket for an unsafe lane change after crossing into an occupied lane and attempting to move into oncoming traffic, according to police.

According to the police, all cars were withdrawn from the scene and the road was opened within two hours.
