Family Care Center now provides mental health care in Georgetown

Family Care Center It held a ribbon cutting for the new Georgetown location on Nov. 7, following its opening on Sept. 23.

What do they offer

The mental health clinic treats a variety of patients, including individuals, couples, families and veterans, according to a news release. Care at the center includes:

  • Therapy and counseling services
  • Psychiatry and medication management
  • Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)

TMS treats depression, OCD, and other conditions in patients who are not getting adequate results from antidepressants or other treatments. FCC’s website.

During the ribbon cutting, FCC founder and chief medical officer Dr. Charles Weber thanked the clinic’s leaders and emphasized the center’s mission to make the greatest positive impact on communities.

Jami Stobaugh, a licensed professional counselor and FCC Georgetown’s clinical supervisor, said that as a Georgetown resident, she has seen how mental health impacts the area.

“I’m so excited to be in Georgetown and I’m so glad we’re here and able to serve our community,” Stobaugh said.

How did it start

Clinical was founded By two US Army Veterans in 2016.

Other locations in the Greater Austin area are Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Round Rock and Central Austin.
