Man arrested during St. Johns Island shooting charged with attempted murder

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office says a man has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred over the weekend.

Andrew Michael Fulp, 44, of St. Johns Island, was arrested Saturday night and charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into a residence.

Deputies were called to a home in the 3300 block of Old Pond Road around 7 p.m. Saturday for a reported shooting in the area.

Upon arrival, they found the two men in the front yard of the home and then arrested Fulp.

The victim was taken to MUSK for treatment.

Fulp was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center and held on a total bail of $60,000.

It is not yet clear what led to the conflict.
