The highway patrol said the driver rear-ended the bus in Beaufort Co.

BEAUFORT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol says a woman is facing charges after crashing into the back of a bus in Beaufort County Tuesday morning.

North Carolina Highway Patrol said they received a call about a bus collision on southbound US 17 near Mary Street around 7:30 a.m.

Police said 24-year-old Gabrielle Fox of Washington collided with the rear of the bus as it slowed to pick up a student. The Highway Patrol said two students and the bus driver were on the bus at the time, and neither was injured.

The crash appears to have occurred south of Chocowinity, near Chocowinity Elementary School.

Fox was cited for failure to reduce speed, the Highway Patrol said.
