Cortex Knowledge Extensions, which will be available on the Snowflake Marketplace and is currently in preview, are designed to provide data teams with a way to enrich enterprise AI chatbots with content from third-party providers, such as research or newspaper publications.

The ability of data brokers to take action on behalf of the user makes the Snowflake Intelligence platform similar to a variety of brokered AI offerings from vendors such as Salesforce, Microsoft, Anthropic, IBM, and ServiceNow.
