Arjun Kapoor on mental health issues: It’s not as simple as taking pills

Actor Arjun Kapoor He made a strong comeback with Singham Again, in which he played the role of Danger Lanka. However, not many people know that the actor went through a difficult time while shooting the movie. Speaking to India Today Digital, Kapoor opened up about her mental health issues and shared that recovery is a slow process and requires intense and fundamental work. The actor also shared that taking pills will not provide any benefit or solution in the long run.

Arjun shared, “When you’re dealing with mental health issues or facing difficult circumstances, you have to understand the ‘why.’ I tried to understand why this was happening in the first place. As someone who never had these traits, I was confused. Suddenly, I started developing tendencies like overthinking and lack of motivation.” I didn’t enjoy ordinary things like watching movies at night. I talked to friends and family members and I would like to say that no one should go to a therapist alone.”

“It wasn’t just about my career; my daily life was also affected. The challenge was to do something about it. I could have continued to feel this way, but I took it upon myself to make a change. I didn’t isolate myself. I took it upon myself to heal, but it took time, it would be better the next day.” It’s not as easy as feeling, wake up one day and say everything’s okay,” the Singham again star added.

Kapoor said the process was time-consuming but worth every second.

“The process is very slow. You have to rebuild yourself. You have to talk about it, be in the moment, and acknowledge that there are things you’re dealing with. As a professional actor and a public figure, put yourself out there even when you’re struggling internally. It can be very tiring. So all of a sudden There hasn’t been a single day where I’ve been ‘out of this’; it’s an ongoing journey,” the actor said.

He further explained, “This is a continuous journey that I’m still on. Even now as I’m talking to you, there may be some tough days ahead. But I’m more prepared because I’ve faced it and accepted that it is.” “It may seem like an oversimplification, but I’ve reached a point where even on the hard days I find balance, a way to take care of myself.”

Arjun’s sequel to No Entry is also on the way.
