Frasier star reveals why they’ll NEVER return for series reboot and says ‘It doesn’t feel right’

STAR of hit comedy Frasier has shared why they will never return for the rebooted series – claiming ‘it wouldn’t feel right’.

Reboot of the popular comedy series Kelsey Grammar returns as frasier Crane – begins streaming on Paramount+ in October 2023.

The show, which aired from 1993 to 2004 and was a spinoff of Cheers, followed Frasier’s return to his hometown of Seattle as a radio host.

One of the stars who will not return in the sequel is Wendie Malick.

She played Ronee Lawrence. frasierShe was the childhood caregiver of and later married her father, Martin.

To talk TV Content, Wendie admitted a comeback “wouldn’t feel right” following the death of her former co-star John Mahoney.

John, who plays Martin Crane died in 2018 He is 77 years old.

Wendie said: “I don’t think it would feel right.

“I had such a connection to her playing John Mahoney’s love interest and eventually marrying him that I’m not sure I want to revisit that.

“It’s been a lovely journey and a lot of fun that season and I was honored to be a part of it.”

Offering a bit of hope to his fans, he concluded: “Never say never, but it’s my gut feeling.”

Meanwhile, Wendie isn’t the only original series star missing from the Paramount+ revival.

David Hyde Pierce who played frasier‘s brother Niles, Also, it hasn’t appeared yet.

To talk Los Angeles TimesDavid explained his decision not to reprise the role.

He said: “I never really wanted to go back.

“It’s not like I was like, ‘Oh, I never want to do this again.’ I loved every minute of it.
