Week 1 of women’s college basketball brought an exciting mix of top-seeded matchups, standout freshman performances and surprising upsets.

Power 10 for the week of November 11, 2024

1. South Carolina -The Gamecocks had a scare against Michigan and narrowly escaped victory, but took on NC State Reaching 40 consecutive wins.

2. UConn – Paige Bueckers made a statement heading into her senior season, and it’s been fun watching the signings of Kaitlyn Chen and Sarah Strong already turning heads.

3. Southern California -The win against Ole Miss wasn’t the prettiest win against the Rebels’ defense, but once fully improved, it’s clear that this is a scary team.

4. UCLA -The Bruins have had to adjust to life without Kiki Rice due to daily injuries, but Lauren Betts is really stepping into her own.

5. Texas – There’s only one game left, but we’re already seeing the heights this team can reach on the court with Rori Harmon and Madison Booker.

6. Notre-Dame – It’s not at full power yet, but it’s such a beautiful sight to have Olivia Miles and Hannah Hidalgo together on the field!

7. LSU – Flau’jae Johnson is turning heads and making her presence felt as the Tiger’s go-to player.

8. Iowa State – Started strong with balanced scoring and tough defense and became a dangerous team in the Big 12.

9. Oklahoma – Raegan Beers has transitioned seamlessly into her new era with the Sooners, off to a strong start.

10. NC State – Ally fell to South Carolina in the Tipoff, but I believe this team is still a top 10 team competing against the #1 team in the country.
