A parcel owned by the city of Jamestown was sold to facilitate the development of a local business.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER analyze real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently examined transactions from Aug. 27-30.

During this time, the city of Jamestown sold 212 West Second St., Jamestown, to TLJKBJ, LLC of Jamestown for $1,000.

The sale was to facilitate the patio expansion project at Shawbucks, according to Jamestown Development Director Crystal Surdyk. “This is a section of right-of-way where the city will maintain service access through an easement and provide Shawbucks with the extra space they need to build their outdoor patio structure,” he said.

There were 10 sales of $250,000 or more between August 27-30. The whole thing is as follows:
