Injury concerns continue for Eagles Pro Bowler, another starter survives scare

There were a lot of names listed on the Philadelphia Eagles’ injury report from Wednesday through Friday. The Birds would eventually list Ben VanSumeren as the only player questionable for Sunday’s Week 10 game.

Then came better news. They upgraded him to the ‘no status’ tag on the eve of Philly’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, indicating he had completed concussion protocol and was ready to play.

The birds got into it healthy That’s very good news at this point in the season. Unfortunately, the buzz we hear Seeing a few new starters return to training reduced some of it. Pro Bowl corners are injured again.

Darius Slay limped off the field after Philly’s first defensive snap of the Eagles-Cowboys game. Bad news… His return is reportedly questionable due to his ankle injury.

Isaiah Rodgers will replace Slay at cornerback out of the defensive lineup. Unfortunately, there is more bad news.

Jalen Hurts’ streak of games without a turnover has ended. On the first play of the second quarter, Dallas looked for Goedert in the end zone and instead found a former teammate at Alabama. Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs came down with an interception.

Goedert went to the medical tent after that, but Philly survived a scare and got back on the Eagles’ ensuing offensive drive.

Update: Good news to report. Darius Slay returned to the game with 9:21 left in the 2nd quarter.

Slay returned to the field. If he can finish this, that’s good news. No one needs to ask questions about how tough he is. He’s definitely an actor.
