Flagler Palm Coast student accused of making shooting threats

a 16 year old student at Flagler Palm Coast High School He was arrested Friday after threatening to shoot up the school, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

The FBI notified the Sheriff’s Office on Friday. A teenager threatens to hit the school. Deputies identified a 16-year-old girl who attended Flagler Palm Coast High School as the suspect, according to the sheriff’s office.

The News-Journal is not naming the girl because she has not been formally charged as an adult.

A school resource deputy quickly located the student and made sure there was no weapon, while other deputies intervened, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The girl admitted on social media: “I forgot to use physics spray, I’m going to blow up the school.”

The student was charged with making a written/electronic threat to kill or cause bodily harm to another. He was taken to Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility for processing and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice released him to his family.

“The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office takes all threats seriously, especially those directed at a school or the school’s student body,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Parents, I ask once again that you be the sheriff in your home and talk to your children. “What a stupid comment you made because you forgot to put spray on your make-up.”

Staly thanked the FBI for the tip.
