A man was shot dead and two others were injured in south-east London, the Metropolitan Police said.

Officers were called to reports of a shooting near Wells Park Road in Sydenham at 10.10am (BST) on Sunday, where they found an injured man who died at the scene.

It was learned that a woman who was injured in her legs with a bullet was taken to the hospital and her condition was not life-threatening.

A third person was later taken to hospital with what was thought to be a “gunshot wound”, a Met spokesman said.
