Kalen DeBoer and Jalen Milroe saved Alabama football season with warning from LSU’s Brian Kelly

BATON ROUGE, La. – Who is he talking about? vanderbilt Now? Who is worried Kalen DeBoer’s fashion choices.

All is well again in Roll Tide World.

DeBoer and his Crimson Tide He rose from the mat and silenced the critics. No. 11 Alabama saved its season crush #13 LSU 42-13 in front of a hostile crowd of 102,283 at Tiger Stadium.

The stands were almost empty at the sound of the bell.

Alabama’s season looked ripe for burial after defeats against Vanderbilt and Tennessee. Think of it as Alabama’s resurrection, but keep the shovel handy. As Brian Kelly lands in his third LSU season, DeBoer is hurtling toward the College Football Playoff in his first season as Nick Saban’s successor.

Who would have believed a few months ago that DeBoer would lose to Vanderbilt and still be able to make a CFP bid?

Alabama fans who were agonizing a few weeks ago and stressed about everything from suspensions to discipline to DeBoer’s game-day attire choices will take a victory lap when they call the phone lines Monday on “The Paul Finebaum Show.”

Jalen Milroe spurs Alabama revival by going wild against LSU

This place was buzzing with energy all day long, creating an environment conducive to this CFP remover.

ESPN carnival barker Pat McAfee beguiled Tigers fans with a slew of outrageous, obscene chants in the morning on “College GameDay,” and that energy carried over to the opening kickoff.

With the crowd roaring, Alabama got off to a false start before its first down.

And for the next 3.5 hours, Alabama tortured that crowd.

LSU revived an old tradition by bringing a caged tiger to the courtside for this high-stakes matchup. That big cat watched Alabama’s offense purr; LSU looked woefully unprepared and ill-equipped to stop Jalen Milroe and Co.

For the second year in a row, Milroe ran circles around an LSU defense that was overwhelmed by wheeled quarterbacks.

Maybe we should have seen a season like this coming in Alabama. DeBoer’s Washington huskies They won last year as heartcats, tiptoeing through the ranks in several one-possession victories.

He’s a heart patient, Kalen, but that led to Alabama suffering losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee.

There’s no drama in this. There isn’t much punishment. There is no discipline problem. There were no turnovers from Milroe, who looked like the Heisman-caliber player we saw in September.

No problem. Alabama played well, as it has all season, and turned this into a full-fledged upset.

Alabama (7-2) still has work to do to complete its playoff resume. He can’t afford another defeat, but he won’t be facing another team in the rankings either.

In what may have been Alabama’s last chance to make a statement to the CFP committee, the Tide loudly touted their playoff bona fides as they demolished LSU.

Brian Kelly’s third LSU season is exciting

Is LSU a playoff team? Forget about it.

Standing on the playoff precipice, Alabama found its footing and pushed LSU over the edge.

The Tigers bet big on Kelly three years ago. Backing up the Brinks truck to dismantle it from Notre Dame. Each of Kelly’s three LSU predecessors won a national championship, but tonight he seemed a long way from anywhere worthy of exaltation.

This would be the low point of Kelly’s tenure.

The Tigers couldn’t get out of their own way.

Even if they took one step forward, they followed with two steps back.

In a two-play recap of how the night went for LSU (6-3), the Tigers stopped Alabama on fourth down in the second quarter and turned the ball over on downs on the next play.

Garrett Nussmeier then made a brutal interception in the red zone, negating a scoring opportunity that was one of Nussmeier’s three turnovers.

The less said about LSU’s miserable defense, the better.

Last season, Milroe rushed for 155 yards in the takedown of LSU.

He was just stretching his legs. He rushed for 185 points, scoring four goals in this replay.

Kelly changed defensive coordinators after last season but couldn’t figure out LSU’s porous defense.

Milroe raced 39 yards for a touchdown on Alabama’s opening drive and then danced in the end zone.

He then ran 72 yards for a score and kept running until he reached the edge of the crowd, where he was able to high-five a young Alabama fan in a red hoodie.

Everyone is smiling at Tide.

DeBoer and Milroe contemplated reviving Alabama while the weather warmed a bit under Kelly’s collar.
