Starting November 11, Shivajinagar’s road near Shivaji Circle will be closed for 30 days due to Namma Metro works.

From Monday, November 11, one side of the road near Shivaji Circle and Jyothi Cafe in Shivajinagar will be closed to all vehicular movement to accommodate the ongoing construction of Namma Metro by the Bengaluru Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). traffic police said.

This closure, which is expected to last for 30 days, falls under the jurisdiction of the Shivajinagar Traffic Police. To minimize disruptions and maintain a stable traffic flow, authorities have announced various restrictions and alternative routes for commuters.

Restricted Routes:

– Vehicles traveling from Balekundri towards Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stand via Shivaji Circle will be restricted from entering this route.

– Additionally, all vehicles coming from Shivaji Road towards Jyothi Cafe and Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stand will also face restrictions.

Alternative Routes:

To ensure that passengers can reach Shivajinagar and BMTC Bus Stand with minimum inconvenience, the following alternative routes have been suggested:

1. For vehicles and buses coming from Balekundri towards Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stand: Travelers are advised to turn left at Traffic Headquarters Junction, continue along Infantry Road and turn left once again at Central Street Junction to reach BMTC Bus Stand.

2. For vehicles and buses approaching from Shivaji Road towards Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stand: Motorists should turn right at Shivaji Circle, proceed via Venkataswamy Naidu Road, turn left at Balekundri Junction and turn left again at Traffic Headquarters Junction. From here they should proceed via Infantry Road, turn left at Central Street Junction and proceed towards BMTC Bus Stand.

Officials have requested the public’s cooperation and understanding during this temporary closure as subway construction progresses. For safety and smoother travel, passengers are asked to plan their routes accordingly.
