Green corridors were created for the transportation of organs

The Police Band bid farewell to 73-year-old Girish Yadav, who died brain dead and whose organs were donated at Bansal Hospital in the state capital on Thursday, by the Police Band.

Two green corridors were created in Bhopal on Friday, both corridors were created from Bansal Hospital. One corridor was built from Bansal to AIIMS and the other from Bansal to Indore. Meanwhile, some main roads of the capital Bhopal came to a halt for a while.

Traffic police did not change any routes to either green corridor. On the roads where the ambulance had to pass, traffic was stopped for a while and the ambulance was given way.

One of the kidneys was sent to AIIMS from Bansal Hospital in Bhopal and the liver was sent to Choithram Hospital in Indore. The second kidney will be transplanted to Bansal Hospital.

Two eyes were donated to Gandhi Medical College. The kidney transplant was performed at Bansal and AIIMS on Friday evening. It is possible to transplant the liver late at night at Choithram Hospital in Indore.

The donor’s body was sent off with respect for the last time by a funeral procession accompanied by a police band at the hospital. The family who decided to donate their organs was also honored.

Budhni resident Girish Yadav (73 years old) died during treatment and his family decided to donate his organs.

A few days ago, he suffered cerebral palsy and was admitted to Bansal Hospital. On Thursday, doctors declared the patient brain dead. Girish Yadav’s elder son, Vinay Yadav, decided to donate the organs from his father’s body on the advice of doctors.

Girish Kumar Yadav’s son Vinay said that his father Girish Yadav was a lawyer in Budhni. He was an active member of the Congress. He spent his entire life for people’s welfare and social service. That’s why we decided to donate his organs so that his body can be useful to someone even after his death.

The age of the patient who was brain dead was 73. Therefore, his heart could not be donated. Doctors said that due to cerebral palsy, the patient’s remaining organs were in good condition, but his heart was not working properly. This is why the heart cannot be useful to anyone. The eyes were donated to Gandhi Medical College.
