Irish man suspected of killing US nurse arrested in Hungary

Officers said Ms. Michalski was killed during a “close encounter” with the suspect but did not provide further details.

They found that the couple met at a nightclub, danced together and then went to the apartment the man had rented.

After Ms. Michalski’s disappearance, the man asked questions such as “what does a body smell like after decomposing?”, “how do the police handle missing persons cases?” and ran a series of online searches for things like “removing the smell of rotting meat.”

He also allegedly investigated whether pigs ate dead bodies and the appearance of wild boars along Lake Balaton, a body of water near Szigliget.

In the footage published by the Hungarian police, a handcuffed man is seen guiding the police through the forest. Sniffer dogs and forensic investigators are available.

A Facebook group called Find Mackenzie Michalski says the 31-year-old actress often uses the pseudonym Kenzie.

On Saturday, his friends held a candlelight vigil near the US embassy in Budapest.
