Discover how owning property abroad is making Brits happier and stopping it | TV and Radio | Showbiz and TV

Place in the Sun presenter Jasmine Harman claims owning a property abroad makes you really happy and “stop whining”.

He discovered this while revisiting new English proprietors who had spent their early years in sunnier climates.

Harmin, 48, said: “Without exception, everyone I visited had found a property before, and not a single person regretted it.

“Everybody says, ‘You know, we’re so happy.'”

He added: “Even though they faced challenges and were kind of hindered and couldn’t show up for a year, they’re still so happy they made it.”

So are the Brits stopping whining?

Harmin replied: “Your readers will find this hard to believe, but yes, they are stopping whining now.

“Because it’s something that changes so many people’s lives and makes them so happy.”

Harmin first started presenting the popular Channel 4 show more than 20 years ago.

Closing a deal still feels emotional.

“This morning I had one of those moments where you bargain and agree on a price.

“It’s like a high thing.

“You tell them, ‘Yes.’ We get it! We have an agreement. This is yours! ‘This is your new home abroad.’ This is a very nice feeling. And I cry all the time.

“I had a good old cry this morning. I was very happy for them. This couple had a lot of ups and downs and so they really deserved it.
