Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart Suffers Significant Injury in First Series vs. Georgia Game

Quarterback Jaxson Dart was sacked on second down and slowly got to his feet, favoring one of his legs. On third down, he threw his back foot up the middle (presumably due to apparent injury) and was stopped; It was a turnover that set up Georgia’s rushing score on fourth down and the ensuing possession touchdown.

Dart went to the injury tent on the sidelines and was later seen heading to the locker room for further evaluation. When Ole Miss received the kickoff following the Bulldogs’ score, Austin Simmons emerged to lead the Rebel offense. Dart then came out of the locker room and took his helmet from the sideline.

Following a scoring drive piloted by Simmons, Dart re-entered the game for the Rebels.
