COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Orangeburg County authorities announced the search for a missing woman outside of Orangeburg County has ended.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell announced Friday evening that 66-year-old Valerie Goff was found dead.

Goff was reported missing after leaving her home around 3 a.m. Friday and trying to go to the Walgreens on John C. Calhoun Drive.

Investigators say he never went to the store.

Hours later, they say his car was found in floodwater near Glover Street.
