Penn State vs. Washington: Game

The late night crowd and late start perhaps would have added to the excitement for Penn State in its Big Noon Kickoff against No. 4 Ohio State last weekend. The Lions kicked a field goal on the opening drive, scoring a 6-and-out and taking a 10-0 lead before Ohio State’s superior machine took over. The Buckeyes rushed for 179 yards, controlled the point of attack on both sides of the ball and dropped Penn State to 1-12 in head-to-head series since coach James Franklin took over in 2012.

Washington enters the weekend with a 5-4 record overall, 3-3 in Big Ten play and a 2-2 record in its last four games. Two victories during this stretch then ended – No. 10 Michigan (27-17) and USC (26-21) on October 5 and November 2, respectively. The Trojans had 166 yards on the ground in this matchup, but turned the ball over to the Huskies three times, all of which were interceptions by Miller Moss.
