BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (WRGB) — A Brunswick man is in custody on child pornography charges after a tip led to a search of his home

On November 7, 2024, Brunswick State Police, with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, arrested David J. Salinger, 25, for soliciting sexual performance. sexual intercourse by a child is a class “D” felony, and sexual performance by a child is a class “E” felony.

Salinger is accused of promoting and possessing images of child sexual abuse. His arrest followed the execution of an investigation and search warrant at his home in Brunswick, NY, on November 7, 2024. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Salinger was arrested and processed at SP Brunswick. He was later arraigned in Brunswick City Court, where he was remanded to the Rensselaer County Department of Corrections in lieu of $75,000 cash or $750,000 partially secured bond.
