A man was killed in a fight that ended with a knife attack at a West Haven bar early Saturday morning.

Officers received multiple 911 calls about a stabbing at a bar in the 600 block of Campbell Avenue around 2 a.m.

Police in the area said they found a man with stab wounds on the front of his body.

Emergency teams intervened and he was taken to the hospital. The man was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been disclosed.

It is believed that a fight broke out inside the bar between the suspect and the stabbed person.

Police said officers at the scene were notified that a suspect had left a vehicle traveling northbound on Campbell Avenue.
