Melba Hill Stafford

Melba Hill Stafford, 87, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Mrs. Stafford was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and a member of Community Baptist Church. She was a long-time member of Morris Hill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

He was a master tailor for most of his life.

Mrs. Stafford was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Stafford; son Tim Stafford; parents, Bob and Lorine Whittle Hill; and his brother Leonard Hill.

She is survived by her daughters, Myrna Stafford, Chattanooga, Tammy (Dudley) Kerr, Spencer, TN; son Donnie (Sandy) Stafford, Apison; daughter-in-law, Debbie Stafford, Ooltewah; three grandchildren, Lance Stewart, Jake Stafford, Jessica (Tommy) Costanzo; two great-grandchildren, Silas Stewart and Luca Costanzo; two sisters, Myrtle Cross, Chattanooga, and Thelma (Little) Hullender, Ringgold; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, November 14, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Perry McAllister and the Rev. Fletcher Farris officiating. The funeral will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery, where Lance Stewart, Jake Stafford, Lamar Haun, Donnie Ricketts, Wayne Cross and Nathan Crowden will carry the casket.
