Glastonbury headliner Dua Lipa has canceled the Indonesian leg of her Asian tour due to the unsafe stage.

The 29-year-old pop star was due to perform in Jakarta on Saturday, November 9, but withdrew from the show the night before due to security issues at the capital’s 16,500-seat Indonesia Arena.

“I am very sorry to share that I will not be able to perform in Jakarta this Saturday,” he wrote in a social media post late on Friday, November 8.

“I am here in your great country and ready to take the stage, but I am delighted to share that due to safety issues with the staging, it has been determined that the performance is unsafe to proceed.”

He had just performed a concert in Singapore, but his tour will now move on to the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand, home to Southeast Asia’s largest economy and nearly 280 million people.

“I was so looking forward to tonight, it really pains me that we won’t be able to perform for all of you, especially after such a long time since my last performance in Jakarta,” he said.

“I love you all and can’t wait to be in the same room with you again as soon as possible, singing and dancing our hearts out.”
