Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, he reminded that the Congress government in Telangana had passed a resolution in the cabinet demanding the central government to implement a nationwide caste census. He said the same was also demanded by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on various platforms.

Referring to the ongoing election campaign in Maharashtra, Revanth Reddy said that Modi did not have anything new to inform the people of Maharashtra during the campaign. “Modi blames the Opposition parties for not having a success story with Maharashtra,” Revanth Reddy explained.

“In our childhood, we saw the great warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. We read BR Ambedkar and Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray. But now we see ‘power hungry’ leaders like Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar,” he said.

Both Shinde and Pawar were trying to return to power by lying to people, he said, adding that the people of Maharashtra should defeat them in the elections.
