HPD is trying to identify the man accused of sexually assaulting five women in their northwest Houston home

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who sexually assaulted five women in their apartment on the city’s northwest side.

On Friday afternoon, HPD released video of the suspect just hours after the latest attack at 5454 W. Gulf Bank.

He has targeted five female residents at four Inwood-area apartment complexes since Aug. 14, according to police. The following three attacks each occurred one week apart on October 9, October 17, and October 24. The fifth occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Friday.

Police said he was sometimes able to enter the victim’s home through an unobstructed door. Once he was waiting for his victim to come home. He forced entry in three attacks, was armed and wearing a balaclava.

The other four attacks occurred at 5454 West Gulf Bank, 5300 West Gulf Bank and 5350 West Gulf Bank.

His face was not obscured Friday morning. A security camera captured him walking between apartment buildings and then running away from one.

HPD described the suspect only as a Black male in his 20s.
