SAN ANTONIO – A woman was shot and killed while driving on the Northeast Side Friday night, the San Antonio Police Department said.

First responders were dispatched to the scene near Interstate 35 and Rittiman Road just before 9:30 p.m.

A woman in her late 20s to early 30s was shot in the head while driving, SAPD officers said.

Police said that after the conflict, the woman’s vehicle rolled over before stopping.

A SAFD official told KSAT that the woman was pronounced dead upon arrival at the scene.

San Antonio police officers said they believe the attack was targeted.

Authorities said they do not have any information about the suspect or suspicious vehicle at this time.

An SAFD official said the scene was still active.
