Saint John Lutheran Church hosts 31st annual Thanksgiving dinner

LAWTON, Oklahoma (KSWO) – Saint John Lutheran Church held its 31st annual turkey dinner earlier today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and they will be serving some more tonight from 5 to 7 p.m.

The dinner includes many holiday classics like turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pie, drinks and more.

The cost of dinner is as follows:

  • $15 for adults
  • $5 for children ages 6 to 11
  • Free for children aged 5 and under

The event is something people in the church like to attend to help the community.

“I’m so grateful to be a part of this, and I’ve been a part of it for a while,” Minister Victor Dixon said. “They have shown me nothing but gratitude and grace, and I honor them. That’s why I’m here this morning as a volunteer to help them.”

All proceeds will go to Lutheran Women’s Missionary work both in our community and around the world.

You can dine inside or take your dinner home.
