49ers QB Brock Purdy Moves to No. 11 in NFL.com’s QB Power Rankings

Brock Purdy’s stock appears to be on the rise.

Just a few weeks ago, he was the main reason the 49ers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Purdy threw three interceptions in that game, and then head coach Kyle Shanahan gave him a harsh lesson at his locker after the game.

Now he’s about to beat the Dallas Cowboys, where he struggled in the fourth quarter but was elite in the third. And so he rose from no. No from 12. He is ranked No. 11 in NFL Network’s Week 10 quarterback power rankings.

“Purdy’s best performances have been outstanding, but like the rest of the team he has lacked consistency this season.” NFL.com analyst Nick Shook writes. “Kansas City turned him into a pretzel in Week 7 and he struggled in a loss to Arizona in Week 5. On the bright side, Purdy overcame a quiet first half by unleashing an offensive explosion in the third quarter in the 49ers’ final game, which gave them If he can iron out the wrinkles with his teammates, Purdy should climb — and remind us of San Francisco’s place among NFL contenders.”

That’s an extremely generous ranking for a point guard who has thrown for 13 touchdowns, committed 9 turnovers this season and has a .500 record. Jalen Hurts ranks 15th with 18 goals, 7 turnovers and a 6-2 record. Let’s see.

I wonder if people will be this kind to Purdy after he gets his money.
