Attempted murder suspect wanted on Canada-wide arrest warrant

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for the fourth juvenile accused of attempting to murder a woman in Westlock County.

On September 7, RCMP were called to Long Island Lake Caravan Park and found an 18-year-old female with serious life-threatening injuries. He survived.

RCMP have arrested and charged three boys from Edmonton, two aged 16 and one aged 17, with attempted murder, robbery and aggravated assault.

Police are still looking for a second 17-year-old boy.

In October, RCMP said a warrant was issued for the teenager’s arrest.

This order is now Canada-wide.

The names of the four men cannot be released because they are minors under the Youth Justice Act.

Police are also still searching for the woman’s 2010 green Mini Cooper with Alberta license plate CPL-5715, which was stolen during the attempted murder.

“Alberta RCMP deployed multiple investigators to quickly resolve this priority investigation,” said Staff Sgt. Jeff Sehn in a news release. “Given the age of the young people, it is clear that they need help to avoid being caught.

“Those who provide assistance may face criminal charges, including but not limited to obstruction of justice and parties to a crime.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Westlock RCMP at 780-349-4492 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. online.
