LISLE, NY (Gray News) – Video captured the moment a Penske truck driver crashed into a vehicle, narrowly missing a highway worker in a New York work zone.

State police said Muhammad A. Wesley, a 36-year-old box truck driver from Phoenix, was driving on Interstate 81 when he failed to observe the work area and two people were killed. New York State Department of Transportation vehicles on the roadside.

Troopers said no injuries were reported.

NYSDOT shared the video, encouraging drivers to “slow down, pull over if possible, and remain alert in work areas; these simple actions can save lives.”
